site.bta22 Parties, 9 Coalitions Registered for Participation in October Snap Elections

Twenty-two parties and nine coalitions have been registered for the October 27 early parliamentary elections by the Central Election Commission (CEC), according to the CEC register.

The deadline for parties or coalitions to request the cancellation of their registration to participate in the elections expired on Tuesday, as well as the deadline for the registration of candidate lists. The deadline for the registration of independent candidates nominated by Initiative Committees also expired on Tuesday.

Two people have applied to the constituency election commission as independent candidates nominated by the initiative committees: Nikolay Nakov for the 3rd and 25th Multi-member Constituencies and Chavdar Popov for the 15th Multi-member Constituency.

The lot with the parties' and coalitions' ballot numbers will be drawn on September 25. The election campaign will last between September 27 and October 25.
