The second edition of the 8 (ocho) Latín Fest will take place in Sofia on September 28. The festival will be held on Triaditsa Street, which will be closed to traffic. The event is open to people of all ages, the organizers said.
The festival seeks to present original music of high artistic value performed by professional musicians, the organizers added. The programme features workshops, dance classes, live music, and activities for children, among others. The lineup includes the bands Free4All, Banda del Padre, DJ Bululú, Calandria, and Tropical B.
The festival aims to promote the culture of Latin America through music, dance, and local cuisine, recreating its carnival atmosphere. There will be a percussion workshop with Buny, Piero, and Dizzy and an afro-latin dance workshop with Maria Cossa, Zumba with Ramón, etc.
The first edition of 8 (ocho) Latín Fest took place in Sofia's Boris Garden Park in July 2023. It brought together Mihail Yossifov of the Latin Jazz Quartet, the bands Mango Duende, Latino Kopeles, and Calandria, to name but a few.
