Independent MPs who belonged to the Velichie (Grandeur) parliamentary group before it was disbanded, propose a bill to amend the Constitution. One of them, Krasimira Katincharova, asked the lawmakers on Tuesday to sign the draft legislation. So far, the bill has been signed by six MPs, and Katincharova expects another 54 signatures.

The bill is aimed to undo the constitutional amendments adopted in December 2023. "We are taking the initiative to remedy what was done," Katincharova said, referring specifically to the curtailment of the president's powers.
