Bulgaria placed fourth in Saturday's group all-around final at the Paris Olympic Games rhythmic gymnastics tournament.

The Bulgarian team: Magdalina Minevska, Sofia Ivanova, Kamelia Petrova, Rachel Stoyanov and Margarita Vasileva, were awarded a score of 67.800 points.

The team had a fault in the 5 hoop routine and scored 34.100 points, of which 19.700 for difficulty, 7.900 for artistry and 6.500 for execution, placing seventh after the first rotation.

The routine with 3 ribbons and 2 balls was performed without fault, but the score was just 33.700 points (18.500 for difficulty, 8,350 for artistry and 6.859 for execution). The team leaders filed a complaint, which was dismissed.

The People's Republic of China won its first ever Olympic title in this event on 69.8000 points, followed by world champion Israel on 68.850 points and Italy on 68.100 points.

At La Chapelle Arena, the Bulgarians were supported by hundreds of their compatriots, including caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev, Bulgarian Olympic Committee President Stefka Kostadinova and world football legend Hristo Stoichkov.
