site.btaBulgarian-American Police Association Pays Tribute to Philadelphia PD Officer Vladimir Maleev

Members of the Bulgarian-American Police Association (BAPA) Wednesday paid tribute to Vladimir Maleev, a Philadelphia Police Officer, BAPA announced on its Facebook page. "Officer Maleev died in the line of duty three years ago," BAPA wrote.

Maleev served in the 17th Precinct of the Philadelphia Police Department, with his last day of service being on August 6, 2021.

In honour of Maleev, BAPA recently awarded five scholarships to Bulgarian students in the United States.

BAPA, an organization composed of law enforcement personnel of Bulgarian descent in the United States, focuses on supporting Bulgarian students through donations and sponsorships. Established by Bulgarian nationals serving as police officers, sheriffs, and agents across the U.S., BAPA aims to foster a sense of community and aid in educational pursuits.
