site.btaSofia's Chief Architect Zdravko Zdravkov Resigns

Sofia's Chief Architect Zdravko Zdravkov tendered his resignation, and Mayor Vassil Terziev accepted it on Friday. In a Facebook post, Terziev thanked Zdravkov for the time he has devoted to the Bulgarian capital.

An acting chief architect is to be appointed on Monday. Meanwhile, preparations will begin for a recruitment competition to choose a new regular holder of the office, the Mayor said.

"I hope that the position will challenge and inspire many professionals and visionaries, and the best future chief architect of Sofia will be elected," Terziev commented, vowing that the municipal government will ask all architectural associations to nominate candidates.
