site.btaBulgapeya Choir, Icon Painter Dian Kostov Organize Cultural Event in Brussels

The Bulgarian folklore group Bulgapeya, together with the Bulgarian icon painter Dian Kostov, will give a concert on June 29 at 5:30 pm at the National Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Brussels, the Association "Bulgarian Hub Eindhoven" said on its website.

Admission to the Basilica and the concert is free.

The event is organized with the support of the Bulgarian-Belgian Association for Culture and Art “Orpheus”.

Dian Kostov is a Bulgarian icon painter, popular for his icons and frescoes, in addition to his projects in the field of modern art, presented in Bulgaria and worldwide. His works have been exhibited in galleries worldwide and are owned by collectors from Europe, the USA and Japan. Kostov strives for original iconic images, in which symbols of the times we live in are present. His works pose some of the timeless questions to his contemporaries.

The Bulgapeya Choir performs songs from various folk regions of Bulgaria. The aim of the ladies in it is "to preserve the already kindled Bulgarian hearth, to throw into the fire new, healthy and increasingly beautiful logs, to enjoy the beauty and warmth of its flame, which comes from the heart of each of us," the head of the formation Nadezhda Nikolova told BTA earlier.
