Bulgarian Ambassador to Nigeria Yanko Yordanov visited the headquarters of the country's Navy in the capital Abuja, the Bulgarian Embassy in Nigeria says in a Facebook post.

The diplomat had a meeting with the newly appointed Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla. They discussed the development of the process of negotiating bilateral documents and the implementation of initiatives following an academic visit of representatives of Nigeria's National Defence College to Bulgaria, the first such visit in 17 years.

Ambassador Yordanov received an honorary plaquette showing the Nigerian Navy logo, the Embassy says.
