"The government (of the Republic of North Macedonia) maintains the topic of the constitutional amendments because it wants to avoid the topics of inflation, the decline in the standard of living, the dissatisfaction of pensioners, the lack of textbooks, the dysfunctional system, the delegitimized Judicial Council and through the topic of the constitutional amendments the government keeps itself alive", former Foreign Minister of North Macedonia and VMRO-DPMNE MP Antonio Milososki said Friday.

In his words, VMRO-DPMNE's wish is for the authorities to submit the constitutional amendments in Parliament as soon as possible "to make sure for themselves that this initiative will not succeed".

Milososki stressed that VMRO-DPMNE has had serious communication in recent days "with representatives in Brussels, Berlin, Washington and elsewhere and we have delivered our message - we are proposing a plan to overcome this problem, which we have also proposed to the government". To make a government without the Democratic Union for Integration (DUI), to make the changes in the constitution with a delayed effect so that in an effort to avoid new blockages and to link them to the date of EU membership "so that Bulgaria, instead of blocking us, will be part of the process of European integration".

Milososki added that his party has also proposed the option of early elections and the winner of these elections to have the obligation to form a government without DUI and with the support of the opposition.
