In a Tweet on Wednesday, President Rumen Radev strongly condemns "the attack against the Nova Kakhovka dam, which threatens many civilians, poses a serious risk to the environment as well as threatens the safety of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant". In his words, those responsible for this outrageous act should bear responsibility.

The Nova Kakhovka dam in the Russian-controlled area of southern Ukraine was destroyed on June 6, unleashing a flood of water. Ukraine's military and NATO have accused Russia of blowing up the dam, while Russia has blamed Ukraine. More than 2,700 people have been evacuated from the flooded areas.
