site.btaSocial Benefits to Be Tied to Poverty Line, Parliament Decides
The Parliament adopted on Thursday at second reading changes to the Social Assistance Act. The amendments provide that social benefits will be determined based on the poverty line for the relevant year, determined by a decree of the Council of Ministers. Currently social benefits are determined on the basis of a guaranteed minimum income, which is currently BGN 75.
