Foreign Direct Investments Total EUR 907.3 Mln for January-July 2015, Up from EUR 865.8 Mln for Same Period of 2014
Sofia, October 5 (BTA) - In January-July 2015, foreign direct
investments in Bulgaria amounted to 907.3 million euro, up from
an inflow of 865.8 million euro in the same period of 2014, the
National Statistical Institute reported in an analysis entitled
"Key Indicators for Bulgaria", published on Monday.
During the same period, the direct investments abroad grew by to
28.3 million euro, down from an increase of 349.5 million euro
in the same period of 2014.
In January-July 2015, the portfolio investment - assets declined
by 710.3 million euro, compared to a decrease of 200,000 euro
in January-July 2014. In January-July 2015, portfolio investment
- liabilities rose by 898.4 million euro, compared to an
increase of 1,259 million euro in January-July 2014.
The external balance in the second quarter of 2015 was positive.
Exports and Imports of goods and services increased by 7.2 per
cent and 6.5 per cent, respectively, from the comparable quarter
of the previous year.
