Commission for Protection of  Competition Rejects Complaints Lodged by 3 Companies over Hemus Motorway

Sofia, March 10 (BTA) - The Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC) left without consideration the complaints lodged by three companies over the suspension of the public procurement procedure for Hemus Motorway's construction, the CPC said in a press release Thursday.

The complaints were lodged by PST Hemus 2, Tasyapi Insaat Taahhut Sanayi ve Ticaret, and the AM Hemus Lot 1 group.

According to the CPC, the decision for the procedure's suspension is grounded and lawful, having been prompted by the inability to provide funding for its implementation for unforseeable reasons. At the time of the procedure's launching, it was stated that the finances will be provided under Operational Programme (OP) Transport and Transport Infrastructure but in a letter of February 15, 2016, the OP's Managing Authority said that the necessary funding cannot be extended due to the resources' spending on other projects.
