EP President Congratualtes Bulgarian President-Elect

Brussels, November 15 (BTA) - European Parliament President Martin Schulz congratulated Tuesday Bulgarian president-elect Roumen Radev.

Radev will be the fifth President of democratic Bulgaria after winning the most votes in the second round of voting in presidential elections November 13.

"Congratulations to newly elected President Rumen Radev. Bulgaria's stability and security policy are key for the region and all EU," Schulz twitted.

The Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament congratulated the President and Vice President elect, Radev and Iliyana Yotova. Bulgaria is ready for change, Chair of the Group Gianni Pittella wrote. Pittella pledged the Group's full support and trust in the two.
