PM Borissov Confers with Russian Ambassador in Sofia Makarov
 Sofia, December 12 (BTA) - Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov   Monday had a working meeting with the Ambassador of the Russian   Federation to Bulgaria Anatoly Makarov, the Government Information   Service said.
 
 The diplomat expressed condolences to the  relatives of the victims of  the tragedy in the Village of Hitrino near  Shoumen (Northeastern  Bulgaria) on December 10 and wished the injured  quick recovery. 
 
 For his part, Borissov thanked for the support  and familiarized the  Russian Ambassador with the actions and measures  taken by the Government  to manage the emergency situation. 
 
 Borissov and Makarov also discussed the current political situation, as   well as topics on the international agenda. The sides agreed that a   peaceful negotiated settlement is the only possible way to resolve the   Middle East crisis. "War is not a solution. Common statesmanlike   decisions are needed to overcome the migrant wave towards Europe and   resolve the conflicts around us," the Bulgarian head of government said.   
 
 The Prime Minister and the Ambassador also discussed the  progress  achieved so far in bilateral relations in the energy sector.  The sides  expressed a desire for a continued and enhanced dialogue and  cooperation  between Bulgaria and Russia.
