site.bta1,447 Confirmed COVID-19 Cases in Bulgaria

April 29 (BTA) - The confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria are 1,447, according to data of the national coronavirus task force, released by the Health Ministry here Wednesday afternoon.

A total of 243 patients have recovered. The fatalities are 64.

A total of 45,208 tests have been performed in Bulgaria as of
April 29, meaning that 6,458 out of a million people have been tested, given this country's population of roughly seven million.

Regarding pupils in the seventh grade who have to sit exams for
the next school level, and students in the 12th grade who have
to sit matriculation exams, an option is being discussed to hold
the exams but without this requiring the mass return of students back to school.

The task force is discussing many measures, including such with
a timeframe in September and October. This is something that
will be announced by the government, national coronavirus task
force chief Major General Ventsislav Moutafchiiski said on Wednesday morning. NV,RI/ZH,MY
