Sofia, February 10 (BTA) - The deposits non-financial enterprises, households and not-for-profit organizations servicing households held in commercial banks at the end of December 2020, had a total value of 90.3 billion leva, which was up by 10 per cent from a year earlier, the central bank said Wednesday. There were a total of 9.9 million deposits, down by 2.5 per cent from late 2019.

Non-financial enterprises held a total of 587,000 deposits (down by 2.8 per cent from a year ago) for a total of 29.3 billion leva (up by 10.5 per cent on an yearly basis).

Households and not-for-profit organizations servicing households held 9.36 million deposits (down by 2.5 per cent from a year earlier) for a total of 61 billion leva (up by 9.7 per cent on an yearly basis).

Households alone held 3.03 billion leva in 1,180 deposits of over 1 million leva each.

Loans

Non-financial enterprises, households and not-for-profit organizations servicing households had 2.9 million loans (down by 8.2 per cent from a year earlier) for a total of 61.5 billion leva (4.6 per cent more than a year earlier) at the end of 2020.

Non-financial enterprises alone had 140,000 loans for a total of 36 billion leva. That was, respectively, 5.9 per cent and 3.1 per cent more than a year earlier.

At the end of last year the number of loans to households and not-for-profit organizations servicing households decreased by 8.3 per cent on an annual basis, reaching 2.78 million loans. Their value increased by 6.6 per cent to nearly 25.5 billion leva. NV/LN//МЙ/
