site.btaUPDATED Sofia to Show Tsolov’s Formula 2 Races on Big Screen

Sofia Municipality will show Bulgarian driver Nikola Tsolov’s Formula 2 races on a big screen on Friday and Saturday, the municipal administration said on Tuesday.

The screen will be set up in the square by the Vasil Levski Monument, next to Moskovska Street. Admission will be free.

The first race will be shown on September 25 at 12:15, and the second on September 26 at 09:00.

Tsolov heads to Baku with a seven-point lead in the Formula 2 standings as he continues his title bid. Unlike other rounds this season, Baku will have an expanded programme with additional sessions and an extra race, giving drivers another chance to score points, the Municipality said.

The Municipality invited Sofia residents and visitors to attend the screenings and support the Bulgarian driver.

Tsolov finished 18th and last at Madrid’s Madring circuit but retained his championship lead after his closest rival, Brazilian Invicta Racing driver Rafael Camara, received a 10-second penalty. Tsolov remains on 177 points, with Camara on 170. Italian MP Motorsport driver Gabriele Mini is third on 153.
