site.btaBulgargaz Proposes Natural Gas Price Increase of 1.71% from October 1

Sofia, August 11 (BTA) - Bulgaria's state-owned gas company Bulgargaz EAD proposed that the price of natural gas is increased to 612.00 leva per 1,000 cu m (VAT and excise excluded), or by 1.71 per cent, from October 1, 2014, said the company on Monday.

The state-owned company is required by law to publicize its quarterly gas price update proposals a month before submitting them to the State Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (SEWRC).

The proposal takes into account changes in the lev-dollar exchange rate, the prices of alternative fuels on international markets and relevant legal requirements.

Bulgargaz's final proposal about the price of natural gas in the first quarter of 2014 will be made public upon its submission to SEWRC on September 10, 2014, the company said.
