site.btaPM Bliznashki Calls on Parties for Fair Election Race, Not Buy Votes

Oreshak Village, North Central Bulgaria, August 15 (BTA) - Approached for comment on certain parties' allegations that the caretaker Cabinet is playing into the hands of GERB, Bulgarian Prime Minister Georgi Bliznashki said here on Friday that his Government intends to remain neutral in respect of political parties.

"Instead of dealing with the caretaker Cabinet and looking for non-existent enemies, they should better rationalize their own causes. We expect them to handle the election race within the requirements of the law and not yield to temptations to buy votes because apparently everybody are doing so," the PM also said.

He called on the parties to be fair in the election campaign and to respect each other to the benefit of the common good of the entire nation and State. "We will not take sides in the forthcoming [early parliamentary] elections. On the contrary, we will be trying to maintain normal conditions so that everybody should have their chances and no voice should go unheard," Bliznashki said.

In Oreshak, he attended the patronal saint's day of Troyan Monastery and toured the National Exhibition of Popular and Artistic Crafts.
