64 Proceedings Launched into Violations of Voter Rights for October 5 Early Parliamentary Elections

Sofia, October 5 (BTA) - A total of 64 pre-trial proceedings into violations of voter rights for the October 5 early parliamentary elections have been started, sources from the prosecuting magistracy said. Seven of them were summary proceedings and one, an immediate procedure.

There have been three guilty verdicts for violating voter rights. Charges for voter rights violations were issued to four people in Bourgas, on the Black Sea, and to three in Veliko Turnovo, Northern Bulgaria.

There are 21 proceedings launched in Sofia, 11 in Plovdiv, Southern Bulgaria, and five in Varna, on the Black sea.

Alerts have also been made to other competent bodies dealing with election violations.
