Bulgaria's 'Godless' Wins Pardo d'Oro, Best Actress Award at Locarno Film Festival

Geneva, August 13 (BTA) - Ralitza Petrova's 'Godless' won the Pardo d'oro at the Film Festival in Locarno. This is the top prize at the festival, according to AFP.

Godless is Petrova's first feature. It tells the story of a young woman who is a carer of dementia patients and trades in IDs. She begins to change when she meets a new patient who loves music but then realizes that doing the right thing could be costly.

Gana is played by Irena Ivanova who won the best actress award at the festival.

'Godless' is a co-production of Bulgaria, Denmark and France.

This was the 69th edition of the festival.
