site.btaPM Borissov Attends 22nd Petroleum Forum In Istanbul

Istanbul, July 10 (BTA) - Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov is attending on Monday the 22nd World Petroleum Congress in Istanbul, mottoed "Bridges to Our Energy Future". The 5,000-plus delegates from around the world are discussing all aspects of the oil industry, including its social, economic and environmental impact.

Borissov is scheduled to participate in a working meeting dedicated to energy projects in the region with the presidents of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliev, of Serbia Alexander Vucic and Albvanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, the Government information service said.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the forum.

Addressing the congress, Borissov underscored the importance of developing gas infrastructure and of diversifying energy sources and supply routes. He also presented the project for a Balkan European gas hub.
