site.btaProsecution Charges Socialist MP Manol Genov with Vote Buying
Sofia, July 12 (BTA) - The prosecution has charged Bulgarian Socialist  party MP Manol Genov with vote buying. According to the prosecution, he  paid between 20 and 25 leva per vote in the last parliamentary  elections. The scheme included a prisoner in a correctional dormitory in  the southern city of Plovdiv. He carried a phone by which he  communicated with the MP, Prosecutor General Spokesperson Roumyana  Arnaudova explained.  
 
 Genov rejected all charges before journalists and expressed hope that the court will fairly acquit him.
