Sofia, May 21 (BTA) - Prime Minister Boyko Borissov has tasked the Finance Minister and the Health Minister with suggesting a mechanism that would guarantee the regular payment of salaries to the doctors and medical personnel at the hospitals in Vratsa and Lovech (Northern Bulgaria), despite the distraint imposed by the two medical treatment facilities' creditors, the Government Information Service said Monday.

The salaries owed for February-April at the Hristo Botev and the Paraskev Stoyanov multiprofile hospitals for active treatment amount to 1,873,113 leva.

The two hospitals' doctors and medical personnel have been protesting for nearly a week against the non-payment of their salaries for work they have already done.
