A new temperature record was measured for a second day in a row in Haskovo, Southern Bulgaria on Tuesday. Temperatures rose up to 19.4C, which is the highest value measured on December 26 in the 90-year history of local professional weather monitoring in the city, the local hydrometeorological observatory said.

The warmest December 26 on record until this year was in 1995, when 16C was measured.

On Christmas Day, the temperature in the afternoon was 22.2C - also a record high for this date.
