site.btaBulgaria to Be Guest Country at Fifth Ljubljana Lace Festival

Bulgaria will be the guest country at the fifth Ljubljana Lace Festival, which will take place in Slovenia on October 19 and 20, 2024. Bulgaria's role in the festival is linked to this country's hosting of the 21st World Lace Congress in 2025, the Bulgarian Embassy in Slovenia said on Facebook.

"A series of events will be held in the Slovenian capital next weekend. They will present the tradition of lace making and its contemporary dimensions in Bulgaria," the diplomatic mission said, adding that the event will be free admission.

The festival will be held with the support of the Embassy of Bulgaria in Slovenia, the post adds.

The 21st World Lace Congress, organized by the International Bobbin and Needle Lace Organization, will be held in the towns of Karlovo and Kalofer on August 16-18, 2025. The programme features Bulgaria’s national lace festival on August 15, exhibitions, lectures, round tables, fashion shows, and an open-air jazz concert, among others.
