site.btaMoldova Hosts Arm Wrestling Tournament to Commemorate First Bulgaria Settlers

The third amateur arm wrestling tournament in memory of the first Bulgarian settlers in Bessarabia took place in the village of Stoianovca, Cantemir district.

"The competition, held under the auspices of the Moldovan National Sport Federation of Arm wrestling (FNSARM), gathered over 30 participants from different regions of the country. The tournament was held in three categories, according to the weight of the participants: up to 65 kg, 65-85 kg and over 85 kg, organizers told BTA.

The referee of the tournament was Nicoleta Bodrug, who is a two-time vice-champion of Moldova in arm wrestling.

The organizer and initiator of the tournament is the public organization "Stoianovca ZaEdno".
