The Moldovan Government will grant five buildings that belong to the Gregory Tsamblak State University of Taraclia to Angel Kanchev University of Ruse. The Government has approved a bill that establishes special management conditions of the State property of Taraclia University as a branch of Bulgarian University. The relevant document was published on the website of the State Chancellery.
The proposal for transforming the Gregory Tsamblak State University of Taraclia into a branch of Angel Kanchev University of Ruse has been discussed since 2019.
The draft bill also proposes financing the education of Moldovan citizens in the accredited programmes of the Angel Kanchev University.
For the 2024-2025 academic year, MDL 330,000 (BGN 33,000) will be needed for the education of 20 students in two accredited educational programmes, Bulgarian and Romanian Language and Literature and Preschool Pedagogy and Romanian Language and Literature, the document said. The cost of the education will be covered by the funds allocated from the budget of the Moldovan Ministry of Education, Culture and Research.
The law will enter into force after it has been voted by the Moldovan Parliament and published in the country's Official Gazette.
