The 13th edition of international BOLGRAD WINE FEST – 2023 took place in Bolgrad on November 11 and 12. The event gathered many guests from all over the Odesa region.

Zhanna Suslina, Head of the Department of Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports of Bolgrad Municipality, told BTA that, in 2023, the Bolgrad Municipal Council has decided to change the format of the festival, reorganizing it as a business fair to producers of goods and services under the motto "We support the Ukraine’s Armed Forces!".

The opening ceremony of the wine festival was attended by Bolgrad District Military Administration Head Mikhailo Sharafanenko, Bulgarian Consul in Odesa Svetoslav Ivanov and Bolgrad Mayor Sergey Dimitriev.

Within the framework of the festival, a business panel was held to discuss the current cooperation issues between local business industry and local government in the context of the economic crisis. The challenges related to production and processing of agricultural products were also discussed. The event was organized by the International Relations and Investment Sector of the Bolgrad City Council and the Entrepreneurs Support Fund.

A large amount of goods produced in Bessarabia was exhibited at the festival. Forty-three producers of wines and national dishes, as well as local souvenir producers, took part in the fair.

The festival raised UAH 23,230, which will be donated to the 88th Infantry Battalion of the Ukrainian Marine Corps, the Bolgrad City Council said.
