One of the biographies of Bulgarian football legend Hristo Stoichkov, autographed by him, is a gift for the Bulgarian books section in the central branch of the San Francisco library, opened on the initiative of the Bulgarian Cultural Center "Ripni, Kalinke", the diplomatic mission of Bulgaria in Los Angeles announced on its Facebook page.

The Consul General of Bulgaria in Los Angeles Boyko Hristov met with Hristo Stoichkov. "His successes and life are worthy of a Hollywood movie," the Consulate said.

The Bulgarian section with books in the central branch of the San Francisco library was officially opened in June. The ceremony was attended by Bulgarians who donated works of literature and the organizers of the initiative, President of the Bulgarian Cultural Center "Ripni, Kalinke" Sonia Kirova told BTA.

In a short time the initiative of creating a Bulgarian section in the central branch of the library in San Francisco began to gather support and the number of book donors grew. For the initiative to succeed, fifty Bulgarian editions had to be collected initially.
