The BTA National Press Club in Blagoevgrad opened on February 12, 2022, the day the city celebrated the 144th anniversary of its liberation.

The Press Club was officially opened by BTA Director General Kiril Valchev. The event filled the town's Kalupchiev House, which became the home of the news agency in Blagoevgrad. Representatives of the clergy, state and local authorities, cultural figures and friends of BTA were part of the opening of the press club.

The Press Club was consecrated by His Eminence Metropolitan Seraphim of Nevrokop and by Bishop Evlogy of Adrianople, Abbot of the Rila Monastery.

Among the guests were Blagoevgrad Governor Valeri Sarandev, Blagoevgrad Mayor Ilko Stoyanov, the previous Governor of Blagoevgrad, Nikolay Shushkov, who signed the contract for the building's rental, and the Director of the Regional Directorate of the Interior in Blagoevgrad, Chief Commissioner Georgi Kandev. The opening of the press club brought together directors of cultural institutions in the city, writers, artists, journalists.

With its opening, the National Press Club of the BTA in Blagoevgrad became a place for communication between media and representatives of business, politics, culture, sports and for organizing press conferences, discussions and exhibitions.
