site.btaInterior Ministry Receives 244 Alerts on Election Day, Reports No Significant Violations
Election day passed peacefully, without significant incidents or public order violations, the Interior Ministry said on Sunday. The Ministry clarified that arrangements have been made to accompany the transportation of election protocols and materials, as well as the machine voting devices.
Since the start of the election campaign until 10 p.m. on Sunday, the Ministry has received 970 alerts for election violations, of which 714 were related to vote buying in favor of political parties or coalitions.
On election day alone, 244 alerts were received and two pre-trial proceedings were initiated.
