site.btaBulgaria and Kazakhstan Accelerate Development of Middle Corridor

The Council of Ministers at its regular sitting on Wednesday approved a draft Memorandum of Understanding between Bulgaria and Kazakhstan for the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, or the so-called the Middle Corridor.

With the signing of the memorandum the sides underline their intent for cooperation in the development of the international route which will encourage economic and social connections. The document foresees an exchange of information and experience, the expansion of ports along the corridor, minimizing transit times, improving logistics and services. This will lead to a boost of transcontinental freight flows linking the East to the West.
