Maintaining a safe, secure, and stable Western Balkan region is a priority for both NATO and the US, the United States Mission to NATO said in a publication on the X social network.

The US Mission to NATO hosted six Western Balkans emerging experts from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Serbia, the Republic of North Macedonia and Montenegro to emphasize NATO’s political dialogue and practical cooperation with the Western Balkans, the post further reads.

The visit’s topics included engaging youth, regional peace and security, and countering malign influence, including disinformation, hybrid, and cyber threats, posed by both state and non-state actors.

The visiting group conferred with senior officials, presented their policy recommendations, and exchanged ideas on vital steps needed for regional cooperation and transatlantic integration, the US Mission to NATO also said.
