In a congratulatory address to Bulgarian Tennis Federation head Stefan Tsvetkov, Sports Minister Ivan Peshev wrote that Bulgaria is proud of the achievements of tennis players Ivan Ivanov and Alexander Vasilev, who inspire many young people in the country.

Ivanov won his match 7:5, 6:3, earning his second title of the year after becoming champion at Wimbledon.

“Today is a historic day for Bulgarian tennis! Please accept my congratulations on Ivan Ivanov’s triumph at the Junior US Open in New York. I commend the efforts of the Bulgarian Tennis Federation, the coaches, and the parents of Ivan Ivanov and Aleksandar Vasilev, who contributed to their worthy performance,” Minister Peshev wrote.

“Bulgaria is proud of you, boys! You bring true joy to us all, and your victories inspire many young people to see how dedication conquers sporting peaks,” the Sports Minister concluded.
