The town of Peshtera (South Central Bulgaria) in the Rhodope Mountains, will host the third edition of L’Etape Bulgaria by Tour de France amateur road cycling race on the weekend. A record number of over 1,100 cyclists from Bulgaria and abroad will compete in 58 km and 112 km race distances on a specially designed route following the Tour de France model and branding.

The routes head west toward the scenic Batak Dam area, reaching an altitude of 1,350 meters at the St. Konstantin resort before descending via the panoramic road and Batak Gorge back to Peshtera. The course will be closed to car traffic during the event.

Winners in the long-distance race will be awarded symbolic Tour de France jerseys. Top three finishers in each race (men and women) will receive free entry to L’Etape du Tour 2026 in France, held on one of the official stages of the next Tour de France.
