Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Stoyan Andonov on Thursday met with the Head Sport Director of the International Judo Federation Vladimir Barta, the press centre of the Ministry of Youth and Sports informed on Thursday. They discussed the preparation and organization of the 2025 World Judo Cadets Championships, which Bulgaria will host at the end of August.

Andonov expressed confidence that with joint efforts the championship will be organized in an excellent way. "Our country will host a world judo championship for the first time. We will make every effort to provide the best conditions for athletes and coaches so that the participants can show their best in Sofia," the deputy minister added.

Vladimir Barta said that the communication with the national judo federation is excellent and the preparations for the championships are going according to plan. "I am familiar with the fact that Bulgaria has hosted many international sporting events, the reviews of which have always been excellent. Our impressions are very good," Barta added.

President of the Bulgarian Judo Federation Rumen Stoilov expressed gratitude for the assistance of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Tourism and the Bulgarian Sports Totalizator and assured that the World Championships will become a sporting holiday for Bulgaria.
