Bulgaria's men's and women's teams scored a win and a draw, respectively, in round six of the 45th FIDE Chess Olympiad in Budapest on Monday.

The men claimed a 3-1 victory over Mongolia after Ivan Cheparinov and Martin Petrov, both playing white, triumphed in their games, while Arkadij Naiditsch and Grigor Grigorov drew with their opponents.

In the women's division of the tournament, Bulgaria drew 2-2 with Austria.

After round six, the Bulgarian men's team are in 44th place on 8 match points. The top-placed are India, who have won 12 match points, the maximum possible.

The Bulgarian women's team are in 13th place, having won 9 match points so far. India, again, leads on 12 match points.

The participants in the Chess Olympiad will take a break on Tuesday before the seventh round on Wednesday. The tournament ends on Sunday.
