Professional Bulgarian boxers Kubrat Pulev and Tervel Pulev secured wins in a gala evening held in Arena Sofia in Sofia on Saturday.

In a 10-round bout for the "regular" international heavyweight title of the World Boxing Association (WBA), 42-year-old Kubrat Pulev defeated Ukrainian Ihor Shevadzutskyi by a unanimous points decision (117:111, 117:111, 117:111). Achieving the victory, the Bulgarian now has a balance of 31 wins (14 by knockout) and three losses in professional boxing. After the fight, the Ukrainian’s balance stands at 11 wins and 2 losses. Initially, Kubrat Pulev was supposed to fight Germany's Mahmoud Charr in a 12-round bout, but due to injury, Charr was prevented from participating.

In a cruiserweight bout, Kubrat Pulev’s brother, 41-year-old Tervel Pulev defeated Cameroonian Rolly Lambert by a unanimous points decision - 79:73, 79:73, 80:72. Thus, Tervel Pulev scored his 19th (14 by KO) out of 20 boxing matches played in his professional career. The 34 years-old Lambert suffered his third loss out of 20 boxing matches.
