The Commission for Consumer Protection (CCP) has launched the online portal kolkostruva.bg. The platform publishes daily prices for 101 product groups from the consumer basket and is fully operational, receiving data from retail chains, CCP said Tuesday.

The portal has successfully passed tests with major retailers, some of which confirmed readiness to submit data as of September 29. It displays prices by product category and is designed to inform consumers daily, without imposing excessive administrative burdens on businesses.

The CCP has sent reminders to retailers about their legal obligation to post prices online and provide the Commission with information. Under the Introduction of the Euro in the Republic of Bulgaria Act, retailers with annual turnover exceeding BGN 10 million in food, beverages, tobacco, non-food items and medicines must publish daily prices for specified products and submit the data in the required format to CCP.
