Branch organizations representing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in electronic communications services will sign a memorandum with the Communications Regulation Commission (CRC) to control prices during Bulgaria’s euro adoption period, the CRC said on Thursday.
The decision follows a meeting between CRC members and representatives of the Society for Electronic Communications, the Branch Association of Bulgarian Telecommunications Operators, and the National Association of Cable Operators – TV Club 2000.
As with the major mobile operators, the sectoral organizations agreed not to raise consumer service prices for one year during the euro adoption process. The CRC will actively monitor compliance with these commitments.
On June 10, 2025, a similar memorandum on price control was agreed upon between the CRC, the three major mobile operators, and the Alliance of the Technology Industry.
During talks with the branch organizations, CRC members stressed the importance of SMEs maintaining clear communication with their customers, promptly informing them about contract price recalculations related to the euro transition, as well as confirming which contract terms will remain unchanged.
