site.btaBulgaria Records EU's Second-highest Monthly Increase in Industrial Producer Prises in January, M/M


Bulgaria recorded the second-highest monthly increase in industrial producer prices in the European Union with +5.4% in January, according to first estimates from Eurostat published on Wednesday. Ireland recorded the highest of all Member States (+6.2%), while Sweden ranked third (+2.3).
A 0.8% average rise was recorded both in EU and in the euro area. Compared with January, industrial producer prices increased by 1.8% in both the euro area and the EU.
In December, industrial producer prices grew by 0.5% in the euro area and by 0.4% in the EU.

In the EU, industrial producer prices:
- increased by 0.3% for intermediate goods,
- increased by 1.8% for energy,
- increased by 0.6% for capital goods,
- increased by 0.6% for durable consumer goods,
- increased by 0.2% for non-durable consumer goods.
Annual Comparison by Main Industrial Grouping:
In the EU, industrial producer prices
- increased by 0.7% for intermediate goods,
- increased by 3.3% for energy,
- increased by 1.7% for capital goods,
- increased by 1.5% for durable consumer goods,
- increased by 1.9% for non-durable consumer goods.
