The amount of the average contributory income in Bulgaria in June this year is BGN 1,639.40 BGN, the National Social Security Institute (NSSI) said.

The average monthly contributory income for the country for the period from 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2024 is BGN 1,556.10. 

The contributory income in the reporting month will determine the calculation of new retirement benefits amounts set for June 2024, as stipulated in Art. 70, Para. 3 of the Social Insurance Code, the NSSI said.

In May, the average monthly contributory income stood at BGN 1,669.53.
