site.btaPresident Radev: Green Deal Debate Goes Far Beyond Conversation About Climate Neutrality, It Shapes Bulgaria's, Europe's Future
The debate about the Green Deal, about the green transition behind it, goes far beyond the conversation about climate neutrality, about a green and circular economy, about biodiversity conservation, about investments, etc, President Rumen Radev said at the opening of the Green Transition Forum 4.0 in Sofia on Wednesday. "The stakes are now much higher. The stakes are our level of ambition at national, regional and European level," he added. The forum is organized by Dir.bg and 3E News and will continue until Friday. The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) is media partner of the forum.
"At stake is how we imagine our future on the global economic, social, green and technological map," the head of State said.
Radev congratulated the organizers of the forum for taking on the mission to hold an important conversation on the course of the green transition. The scope of this conversation is increasing every year, both in terms of participants and topics, he said. "This is a conversation about our future, Bulgaria's future, the future of the region of Europe," he stressed.
