site.btaBudget Surplus Estimated at BGN 600 Mln in Late April

The balance of the Consolidated Fiscal Programme (CFP) on a cash basis is forecast to be positive in the amount of BGN 600 million (0.3% of the estimated GDP), the Ministry of Finance said on Thursday.  

Revenues, grants and donations under the CFP as of end-March 2024 grew by some 14.5% from the same time last year, amounting to BGN 22.7 billion or 30.2% of the annual estimates, up by BGN 2.9 billion in nominal terms from the figure reported a year earlier.

The CFP expenditure (including Bulgaria's contribution to the EU budget) as of April 2024 amounts to BGN 22.1 billion, which is 27.1% of the annual estimates. Bulgaria's contribution to the EU budget, paid as at April 30, amounts to BGN 500 million, the Finance Ministry said.
