site.btaOver Half a Million Pensioners to Receive BGN 100 for Easter Holidays

A total of 534,000 people will receive a supplement for Easter, it will be paid by the National Social Security Institute on April 26 so that people can get it for the holidays, said caretaker Minister of Labour and Social Policy Ivaylo Ivanov on bTV.

The National Assembly decided that all persons receiving pensions below the poverty line of BGN 526 should be paid a one-off bonus of BGN 100.

"When there is a threshold like these 526 BGN, there are always people who are close to it and do not receive supplements. The National Assembly decided to give those only to the poorest and most vulnerable, for them they are also the most important because they will really help them," Ivanov said.
