site.btaPM Denkov, VISA Europe CEO Hogg Discuss Security of Financial Operations

Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov and Charlotte Hogg, Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer for Visa's European operations, discussed here on Tuesday the security of financial operations as part of countering cybercrime, the Bulgarian Government's press service reported. 

The discussion also focused on young people's financial literacy. "Many children fail to learn the necessary skills at home, which is why it is important that they be able to learn at school how to tackle basic challenges, such as balancing a budget, savings and taxes," Denkov said. Charlotte Hogg also noted the importance of such education, adding that her company has developed similar programmes across many countries. The two agreed on the need to make a special effort to protect adults from financial fraud.
