site.btaCouncil of Ministers Approves an Increase in State's Shareholding in Sofia Tech Park Capital

At its regular meeting on Wednesday, the Council of Ministers agreed to increase the state's shareholding in the capital of Sofia Tech Park AD with a monetary contribution in the amount of BGN 8,124,400 to cover the operating costs of the Petascale Supercomputer and for the costs of the activities for its upgrade, said the Cabinet press centre.

The capital increase will be carried out by a decision of the Shareholders’ General Meeting of Sofia Tech Park AD.. By Order No. 3 of the Council of Ministers from February 25, 2022, the Minister of Innovation and Growth is designated as the authority to exercise the rights of the state in the capital of Sofia Tech Park AD.

The main goal of the Petascale Supercomputer is to promote scientific activity in the country with application in industry and increase the competitiveness of the Bulgarian economy.
