site.btaSofia Hosts Conference for Exchange of Experience, Good Practices between Bulgaria and Norway in Energy Management Field

Representatives of companies from Bulgaria and Norway exchanged experience and best practices in the field of energy management at a conference in Sofia, the Bulgarian Energy Ministry said in a press release. The event was organized in the framework of the implementation of the project on energy efficiency of industrial processes under the Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency, Energy Security (REEEES) programme, supported by the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism 2014-2021.

The Energy Ministry is the programme operator and the project objective is to achieve energy independence through the purchase of new equipment, consumption monitoring and capacity building in energy management.

Representatives of the company for development and production of polishing, industrial tools DKV-D Ltd - Silistra and the company for production of dental equipment VOP Ltd - Botevgrad participated in the conference from the Bulgarian side.  The company for metalworking, repair and trade with metalworking machines and tools Sibon-mash Ltd - Kazanlak and the company for casting of aluminum parts under high pressure Laki 131 Ltd - Plovdiv were also among the participants, as well as representatives of the partner organization from Norway - IDN Research.

The event highlighted the problems and challenges of energy efficiency related to the industrial process and SMEs. A common view was that energy efficiency is a key focus of the Green Deal for Europe and has a major role to play in the realization of climate neutrality and circular economy goals.
